Habitat:
Dysauxes famula inhabits dry and warm, most often bushy edges, rocky slopes, open dry woodlands and nutrient-poor grasslands with scrub.
Life cycle:
The moths occur in most often two generations between mid-May and September. They are usually spotted resting in the vegetation during daytime.
Remarks:
Dysauxes famula occurs from the very SE-France across Italy and the Balkans to the Asian far East.
Hints on determination:
Dysauxes famula can be distinguished from D. punctata (among other features) by the very uneven white spots on the forewings. Besides the male hindwings are more whitish (except the yellowish anal field).
