Habitat:
Isophya pyrenaea usually inhabits garigues, maquis and other bushy pastures or woodland margins.
Life cycle:
The adults appear early in the season between late May and July, only in higher altitudes still in August or even later. It is usually only found by chance. But beating is a more successfull detection method (also a bat detector). I have beaten most individuals from small oaks up to 2 m (Ardeche, France). When disturbed they usually drop to the ground.
Remarks:
Isophya pyrenaea occurs especially in the southern half of France and reaches Spain in the Pyrenees and Catalonia.
