Host plants:
The larvae feed on birch species (Betula).
Habitat:
Tetheella fluctuosa inhabits birch stands in wetlands, woodlands, heathlands and also anthropogenic sites.
Life cycle:
The pupa hibernates in a webbing between dead leaves etc. in the litter. The moths most often occur in a single generation between June and late July or early August. The larve are recorded between spun leaves from late July to mid-September.
Remarks:
Tetheella fluctuosa occurs in temperate Europe and Asia to Japan.
