Habitat:
Paratettix meridionalis inhabits humid, sandy, stony or muddy places, often near the coast.
Life cycle:
The adults overwinter regularly and are thus recorded most often in spring and autumn. The small animals occur quite abundant at appropriate places (wet spots with medium-dense vegetation in larger areas), but often go undetected when not concentrating on them.
Remarks:
Paratettix meridionalis is quite widespread in the Mediterranena, but rarely far away from the coast or at least in lowlands.
Hints on determination:
The hind wings overtop the pronotum (rear end of thorn) more than 1 mm. The eye distance is shorter than the eye diameter. The central keel of the pronotum ends before the margin of the pronotum.
