Habitat:
Steropleurus andalusius inhabits especially garigues/scrubland of all kinds, but also grassy areas with tall forbs such as thistles.
Life cycle:
The animals are found on scrub and forbs from June until October/November. In very hot and dry summers most individuals are dead at least in the lowlands prior to autumn.
Remarks:
Steropleurus andalusius occurs in S-Spain from the province of Malaga across Granada to Almeria and in the backcountry. It is furthermore locally recorded in a few other sites in SE-Spain.
