Habitat:
Geomantis larvoides inhabits dry and warm habitats with rocks and/or plenty open soil, thus with only gappy, mostly low-growing vegetation like garigues, nutrient-poor grasslands, sand heaths and dunes or steppes.
Life cycle:
Geomantis larvoides is a wingless, geobiontic species which can move very fast and hunts small arthropods. In Europe adults are usually found between June and September.
Remarks:
Geomantis larvoides occurs in the Mediterranean basin: S-Europe from Portugal to Greece, Near East and N-Africa.
