Nutrition:
The species lives predatory mostly of other arthropods.

Habitat:
Pseudoyersinia betancuriae inhabits herb rich ravines as well as sand dunes and barren, rocky mountain slopes. Important are small shrubs such as Lycium or Launaea where the animals can hide.

Life cycle:
I met the adults in February 2011 in Fuerteventura. They are likely to be found in two generations over much of the year. They usually hide in the shrubby or herbaceous vegetation.

Endangerment: endangered

Endangerment factors:
Pseudoyersinia betancuriae is at least vulnerable due to the destruction of areas of Fuerteventura by tourism and the required infrastructure.

Remarks:
Pseudoyersinia betancuriae is endemic to Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). Closely related species in this genus occur on the neighbouring islands.
