Habitat:
Hierodula transcaucasica inhabits dry and warm herbaceous and scrubby areas.

Life cycle:
I recorded first adults together with larvae in N-Greece from late July/early August.

Remarks:
Hierodula transcaucasica occurs from the Caucasus region across Iran to Afghanistan. It has been introduced to some parts of S-Europe where it is spreading.
