Habitat:
Iris oratoria inhabits bushy, dry and warm places in low altitudes such as shrub-rich slopes, but also gardens.

Life cycle:
The adults can be found from mid summer to late autumn. They usually rest in bushes or on forbs.

Remarks:
Iris oratoria occurs in parts of Africa, south Asia, Southern Europe and also North America.
