Habitat:
Prionotropis flexuosa inhabits dry and warm garrigues, mountain slopes and nutrient-poor pastures with spots of bare soil. Rocks are advantageous, but not necessary.
Life cycle:
The adults occur between late spring and summer. The males are good fliers. The animals are easily flushed when walking through their habitat.
Remarks:
Prionotropis flexuosa is endemic to the Iberian Peninsula where its is local in mountainous regions between 400 and 2200m. Sometimes (e.g. in the province of Avila) it may be a bit more widespread and abundant.
