Habitat:
Conocephalus conocephalus inhabits both humid and (in summer) dry habitats. I recorded adults in wetlands (estuary, mostly in not too densely vegetated places), but also in grassy dunes and dry and hot, gappily vegetated fallow land.
Life cycle:
The adults appear in summer and autumn. They usually rest stretched out on blades or stems and fly away when disturbed. Then they usually resettle within a few meters.
Remarks:
Conocephalus conocephalus occurs in parts of Africa and S-Europe (e.g. Spain, S-Italy, Greece).
