Habitat:
Pachytrachis gracilis inhabits warm, partly open scrub, hedges, mixed grassland and shrubs, bushy and often rocky slopes and other semiopen, clear habitats.
Life cycle:
Adults occur quite late between July and October. The animals are usually found in the transition zone of shrubs and small clearings. Like their congeners they are very speedy and thus often difficult to photograph.
Remarks:
Pachytrachis gracilis occurs from NE-Italy and Southernmost Austria (S-Carinthia) across much of the Balkans (misses in the southernmost part: Greece) to Turkey.
