Habitat:
Oecanthus dulcisonans inhabits warm habitats with herbaceous vegetation or partially scrub, most often near the coast.

Life cycle:
The adults are most often recorded in late summer or autumn (July to early November).

Remarks:
Oecanthus dulcisonans occurs in N-Africa (inl. some Canaries), W-Asia (e.g. S-Turkey, Near East, Arabian Peninsula) and locally in S-Europe from Spain to Greece.

Hints on determination:
Oecanthus dulcisonans is best recognized by its song that is much less interrupted than in Oecanthus pellucens.
