Habitat:
Trigonidium cicindeloides inhabits wetlands such as lake and river shores. The animals are usually found in the herbaceous and grassy vegetation above wet soil. In Cyprus I found them near the Mavrokolympos reservoir north of Paphos along a streamlet. The shores showed occasionally mown stands of a small Equisetum and changed then into reed. Most individuals have been found in the transition zone to the reed.

Life cycle:
I recorded adults in Cyprus in late February and early March 2017. Generally Trigonidium cicindeloides is adult at least in autumn and spring, but probably even throughout the year. Photography is quite difficult with the agile and very small animals.

Remarks:
Trigonidium cicindeloides especially occurs in Africa and S-Asia, but is also found in many places in S-Europe near the Mediterranean coast (especially Spain, Corsica, Sardinia, S-Italy).
