Habitat:
Anonconotus ghilianii inhabits Alpine grasslands and pastures with stones, rocky slopes with grassy vegetation, gappy dwarf shrub heathland and similar places.
Life cycle:
The adults appear mostly between July and October.
Remarks:
Anonconotus ghilianii occurs in a small stripe from Aosta valley in the North across Piedmont (Valle di Susa, Valle del Chisone etc.) to the Maritime Alps and the SW-Prealps in France (Mont Ventoux). Anonconotus ghilianii occurs between 1100 and 2700m.
Hints on determination:
Species with relative large and typically coloured males: olive-brown to olive-green, yellow, clearly visible wings.
