Habitat:
Epipodisma pedemontana inhabits alpine meadows, grasslands and dwarf shrub stocks from about 1800 to 2800m above sea level.
Life cycle:
The adults can be found from mid-July to early October. They usually live close to the ground on low plants or in dwarf shrub thickets.
Remarks:
Epipodisma pedemontana is endemic to the Southwestern Alps and is found mainly on the Italian side between the Aosta Valley in the north and to Cuneo in the south. It also occurs in a belt of a few kilometers width from the Italian border in neighbouring France.
