Habitat:
Notostaurus anatolicus inhabits dry and hot, gappy-vegetated meadows, agricultural land, fields, fallow land and similar places.

Remarks:
In Europe, Notostaurus anatolicus is found only locally in the Southern Balkans (e.g. Bulgaria, Macedonia, Greece) including some East Egean Islands (e.g. Samos). The main distribution extends from Turkey to the Middle East (e.g. Iran).
