Habitat:
Eyprepocnemis plorans usually inhabits wetlands like reed belts, ruderal vegetation, salty marshes, riparian strips, ditches, seldom mown grasslands etc., especially in low and hot regions, often along the coast.
Eyprepocnemis plorans prefers vertical structures like reed or higer growing forbs mixed with lower growing vegetation. The animals are very shy and good fliers.
Remarks:
Eyprepocnemis plorans occurs in S-Europe (S-Spain, S-Italy with Sicily and Sardinia, S-Greece). Its main distribution covers most of Africa and parts of SW-Asia (e.g. Iran).
