Habitat:
Arcyptera kheili inhabits grazed grasslands with open soil or stones. Near La Palud sur Verdon (Alpes-De-Haute-Provence) it lives in the still more open parts of a steep, grazed slope with Lavandula and Buxus which is slowly overgrown.

Life cycle:
The adults appear early from May to August, sometimes also later.

Endangerment factors:
Arcyptera kheili is locally endangered by abandonment of traditional sheep grazing and subsequent reforestation. Other factors may be overbilding and agricultural intensification.

Remarks:
Arcyptera kheili is endemic to SE-France (Provence to Alpes-Maritimes).
