Habitat:
Arcyptera microptera inhabits dry and warm, gappy grasslands which are sometimes interspersed with stones.
Life cycle:
The adults appear bin summer. Oviposition occurs in the soil at open ground spots.
Endangerment factors:
Arcyptera microptera is extinct in Central Europe due to habitat loss.
Remarks:
Arcyptera microptera occurs today only locally in Southern Europe with focus in the Balkans. In central Europe ist still found only very locally in the pannonical region (e.g. steppe grasslands near Veszprém in Hungary). To the east it extends to China.
