Habitat:
Platycleis sabulosa inhabits various habitats. But these are most often characterized by a mosaic of dense and higher growing vegetation and open places with scarce vegetation from coastal areas to the backland (more rarely).
Life cycle:
The adults usually occur between May and November, in the South even later. According to own observations the larvae hatch after the first winter rains in Fuerteventura (Canaries) and first adults occur from March.
Remarks:
Platycleis sabulosa occurs on the Canary Islands, in Northern Africa, Southwestern Europe (Iberian Peninsula, Southern France) and according to literature also in Sicily and Israel.
