Habitat:
Platycleis falx inhabits in most cases dry and at least partly dense and high-growing grasslands in the interior (e.g. Apulia, Alta Murge), but especially along coasts (e.g. densely vegetaded margins of dunes and drier parts of swamps, fallow land).
Life cycle:
The adults already appear from June and live until autumn, according to the site. In very dry regions like Apulia many individuals should die already during summer.
Remarks:
Atalanto-Mediterranean species with populations in the Iberian Peninsula, N-Africa, Madeira, the Azores, S-France and Italy (here especially in the south incl. Sardinia)
