Habitat:
Poecilimon nobilis inhabits especially garigues, herb-rich meadows and pastures, often interspersed with dwarf shrub and mountain slopes up to more than 2000m. I recorded adults up to 2300m on Mount Taygetos.
Life cycle:
The animals are usually found on (dwarf) shrubs, but also herbs. I recorded most individuals near the ground in a short-grass pasture on cushion plants. Near the coast adults occur from (late) April, but more in July and August in high altitudes.
Remarks:
Poecilimon nobilis is a S-Greek endemism and is found commonly on the Peloponnese.
