Habitat:
Poecilimon mariannae usually inhabits more humid, extensively managed herb-rich meadows and edges in the lowlands. Nowadays the habitats have often been pushed back to roadside verges and other relict habitats by intens agriculture. Thus Poecilimon mariannae is heavily endangered.
Life cycle:
The animals rest on herbs and bushes like Spartium junceum. Poecilimon mariannae is adult especially in May and June.
Remarks:
Poecilimon mariannae belongs to the P. propinquus group and is endemic to a small area in Central Greece (in the triangle Trikala-Larissa-Lamia).
