Habitat:
Poecilimon obesus inhabits garrigues and maquis. I recorded it singly in sparse Phlomis stands on rocky slopes.
Life cycle:
The adults appear between (late April) May and July, in higher altitudes supposedly until August. Despite their size they rest quite inconspicuously on the plants.
Remarks:
Poecilimon obesus occurs in the western part of mainland Greece, from south of Albania to the Gulf of Corinth, including some Islands like Lefkada or Kefalonia.
