Habitat:
Poecilimon thessalicus lives in fallow land, dry forb communities and scrub till about 2000m above sea level. At mount Olympus I found Poecilimon thessalicus for example commonly together with Leptophyes albovittata in a thistle facies along a road in 1600m above sea level and in below 30m asl near the coast.
Life cycle:
Poecilimon thessalicus is adult from mid-May (lowlands) or late June (high altitudes) and lives until August or even September.
Remarks:
Poecilimon thessalicus occurs in Greece in a relative small area in Thessalia on the western coast of the Aegean Sea, especially on the Olympic Riviera and its backlands. It goes to the south as far as the island of Skopelos north of Euboea.
