Habitat:
Poecilimon laevissimus inhabits most often dry and warm edges with thistles and other forbs, Rubus thickets or scrub. I recorded adults also from several metres height on oaks.
Life cycle:
The adults appear between late April and July, rarely still in August, according to altitude. They usually rest on the upper side of leaves or large inforescences, which they also eat.
Remarks:
Poecilimon laevissimus occurs very locally in Sicily an a bit more widespread in western Greece, approximately from Lefkada across southward adjacent islands and part of the mainland to the western and southern Peloponnese.
