Habitat:
Poecilimon aegaeus inhabits extensively managed and forb-rich (often thistles) pastures and fallow land.
Life cycle:
The adults appear between late April and late May or June. They are - at least on Tinos - quite local, but often abundant in their sites. They are sometimes syntopical with P. klausgerhardi.They often sit on thistles.
Remarks:
Poecilimon aegaeus is endemic to Greece where it is known from Euboea (only one locality, if still present?), from the Cyclades (islands of Andros, Tinos, Mykonos and Siros) and from Skiros (northern Sporades).
