Habitat:
Poecilimon klausgerhardi inhabits forb communities with thistles and also Cistus and Rubus scrub.
Life cycle:
The adults occur between late April and mid-June. They are not only blackish, but may be also green or transitional, especially in females. In Tinos island, Poecilimon klausgerhardi is local, but sometimes common in the higher altitudes and very local and singly lower down. The animals usually rest on thistles and Rubus.
Remarks:
Poecilimon klausgerhardi is endemic to the Greek islands of Andros and Tinos where it is threatened by habitat loss (overbuilding) and especially overgrazing (goats).
