Host plants:
Actaea spicata (fruits, but secondary also leaves).
Habitat:
Acasis appensata inhabits at least slightly damp forests with the larval host plants in the understory.
Life cycle:
The moths fly from May in a single generation. The caterpillars can be found from June to August. They live partly in the shelter of spun fruits or leaves.
Endangerment: endangered
Remarks:
The distribution extends especially across the Alps and Northern Europe.
