Host plants:
The larvae are polyphagous on herbs and low-growing shrubs. I recorded it on Artemisia campestris (Schnalstal, South Tyrol).

Habitat:
Synopsia sociaria inhabits dry and hot rocky slopes, garigues, heathland and sandy grasslands.

Life cycle:
The larva hibernates. Moths occur in most often two generations between May and early September.

Remarks:
Synopsia sociaria occurs in Southern Central and South Europe and Asia Minor.
