Habitat:
Coenotephria ablutaria most often inhabits warm and rocky sites.

Life cycle:
The moths obviously occur mainly in early spring (February to April) and again in autumn (October, November).

Remarks:
Coenotephria ablutaria occurs in Southern Europe and W-Asia. It penetrates northward into the Alpine dry valley (northernmost: Inn valley in Austria).
