Host plants:
The larva should be polyphagous on bushes. The literature often mentions Hypericum that grows as true woody bushes in the Canaries.

Habitat:
Menophra canariensis inhabits bushy slopes and supposedly also woodland. I met a female on a illuminated hotel wall near the coast in Valle Gran Rey (La Gomera, February 2013).

Remarks:
Menophra canariensis is endemic to the western Canaries.
