Host plants:
The larvae feed on lichens of diverse woods. I observed it in the Ida mountains in Crete on lichens on Acer sempervirens.

Habitat:
Eumannia psylorita inhabits dry-warm, lichen-rich scrub in altitudes between around 500 and 1600m asl.

Life cycle:
The larvae hibernate. I found them in late April and early May quite abundant in the Cretian Ida mountains in about 1400m asl. Prior to pupation there is a dormancy in order to survive summer heat and drought. The moths occur mainly in September and October.

Remarks:
Eumannia psylorita occurs in Crete (Greece).
