Host plants:
The larva feeds especially on Genista fasselata.
Habitat:
Chesias rhegmatica inhabits Genista-rich sites of all kinds: garigues, maquis, open pine woodland etc.
Life cycle:
The moths occur in winter mainly between December and March (according to altitude, peak more in January/February). I recorded larvae in April. They may be fopund between March and May. The pupa aestivates.
Remarks:
Chesias rhegmatica is endemic to Cyprus.
