Host plants:
The larva should be polyphagous on shrubs and trees. In northern Greece I recorded them only on Paliurus spina-christi.

Habitat:
Erannis declinans inhabits dry and hot, semi-open and shrub-rich landscapes.

Life cycle:
The adults occur in autumn between late October and early December. The larvae are recorded from April to May, only regionally still in June.

Remarks:
Erannis declinans is found from Serbia and Romania across Bulgaria, parts of Greece and Turkey to Iran and S-Russia.
