Host plants:
Euphorbia cyparissias and probably also other Euphorbia species.
Habitat:
Minoa murinata inhabits grasslands of all kinds, embankments, dams and edges where spurge occurs.
Life cycle:
The moths fly from mid-April to August in two generations. The caterpillars live from May to October and hide during the day often at ground level parts of the host plant or in leaf litter. The pupa hibernates according to literature.
Endangerment factors:
Nutrient-poor meadows, grasslands and edges disappear more and more. In the northern foreland of the Alps, for example, Minoa murinata already disappeared in many places.
Remarks:
Minoa murinata is widespread in Europe and occurs eastward also to Central Asia.
