Host plants:
Presumably Fabaceae as Coronilla etc.
Habitat:
Rhodostrophia discopunctata inhabits grasslands, the Maquis and other xerothemic places. I found moths along with eggs of Hemaris croatica in a broad, nutrient-poor edge between dry forest and road (Northern Greece).
Life cycle:
The moths usually fly in a single generation from May to June (at higher altitudes to July). In the Near East, there are probably several generations from spring to autumn.
Remarks:
Rhodostrophia discopunctata occurs in Europe only in the central and southern Balkan Peninsula (mainly in Central and Northern Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria). The moth is missing in the Peloponnese and the Greek Islands. Furthermore, it occurs in central and eastern Turkey, the Near East and northern Iraq.
