Host plants:
The larvae feed on grasses and herbs, more rarely (initially?) also bushes.
Habitat:
Agrochola nitida most often inhabits dry and warm biotopes like bushy dry grasslands or broad woodland margins. I found two larvae in South Tyrol (Val Müstair) together with Epipsilia larvae in Festuca tussocks in dry Festuca grasslands in 1300m asl.
Life cycle:
The egg hibernates and the larva develops between late March and May or June. Pupation occurs not until late summer and moths appear between August and October.
Remarks:
Agrochola nitida occurs in Europe and W-Asia.
