Host plants:
The larvae feed polyphagously on herbs and grasses on ground level.

Habitat:
Caradrina flavirena inhabits dry and hot sites of all kinds provided there is a good portion of open soil.

Life cycle:
The moths occur in several generations between spring and autumn. But at least in dry areas most larvae will estivate in their future pupation cocoon. The same should apply for hibernation.

Remarks:
Caradrina flavirena occurs in N-Africa, S- and parts of Central Europe (to southern Alps) and in parts of Asia.
