Host plants:
The species is polyphagous on deciduous groves and occasionally also herbs. In Samos, the larva often occurs together with Lithophane ledereri on Platanus.
Habitat:
Grove-rich habitats of all kinds
Life cycle:
The moths occur in early spring (February to April) and the larvae develop from April to early June.
Remarks:
Egira tibori occurs locally in the Balkans and parts of Asia.
