Host plants:
The larvae feed on dwarf shrubs, but also larger groves. I recorded them mostly on Vaccinium uliginosum in a bog at the northern edge of the Alps.
Habitat:
Eulithis testata inhabits bogs and other wetlands, dwarf shrub heathland, woodlands with rich understory and similar places.
Life cycle:
The eggs hibernate. The larvae are found between April and July. They live openly on the plants. Pupation occurs in a loose webbing between leaves. The adults fly in most often only one generation between July and mid-Spetember.
Remarks:
Eulithis testata has an Holarctic distribution. In Europe, it is found from Great Britain across central and northern Europe eastwards.
