Host plants:
Fabaceae, especially Genista corsica.

Habitat:
Scotopteryx proximaria inhabits pastures, scrub, rocky slopes and similar places in medium-high mountains.

Life cycle:
The moths occur in September and October. The larva hibernates.

Remarks:
Endemic to Corsica and Sardinia.
