Host plants:
The larvae are polyphagous on plants of the herb layer, also on young woods.
Habitat:
Lacanobia thalassina is found in many herb-rich habitats such as woodland and grassland edges.
Life cycle:
The pupa hibernates. Moths fly from May to July and occasionally in a partial second generation from late July to early September.
Remarks:
Lacanobia thalassina is widespread in Europe.
