Host plants:
The larvae are polyphagous in the herb layer. I recorded them on Mentha in Samos Island and on Inyla viscosa in Cyprus.
Habitat:
Thysanoplusia circumscripta inhabits almost all available types of habitat in subtropical zones. In arid or semiarid regions it is especially found in places that offer suitable host plants even in summer such as river valleys or watered cultural land.
Life cycle:
The moths occur between late March and November in S-Europe, but year-round further South.
