Host plants:
The larvae are polyphagous in the low-growing herb layer.
Habitat:
Yigoga signifera inhabits xerothermous, partly rocky, nutrient-poor grasslands and pastures. In South Tyrol (Val Müstair) I recorded larvae in 1300m together with those of e.g. Chazara briseis and Hipparchia semele.
Life cycle:
The larva hibernates and is mature in April or May. I recorded them often resting in Festuca tussocks during daytime. The moths occur from late May or early June to August.
Remarks:
Yigoga signifera occurs in S-Europe and parts of Central Europe up to dry valleys of the Central Alps. Yigoga signifera is also found in SW-Asia (Asia Minor, Middle East).
