Host plants:
The caterpillar lives polyphagous on deciduous wood. Especially the older instars are encountered also on herbs.

Habitat:
Conistra vaccinii colonizes grove rich habitats of all kinds.

Life cycle:
The moths fly overwintering from late August to early May.

Remarks:
Conistra vaccinii is distributed from Northwest Africa across Europe to Central Asia.
