Host plants:
The larva primarily feeds on groves, most probably oaks.

Habitat:
Conistra ragusae inhabits dry and warm woodlands most often in medium high altitudes.

Life cycle:
The moths are found between October and January. The larvae develop in spring.

Remarks:
Conistra ragusae occurs in S-Italy, Sicily and parts of the Balkans (e.g. N-Greece, Macedonia, Bulgaria). Also in Asia Minor.
